Fondly remembering when Russia came out in support of Hamas and that Israeli dude went nuts in a live TV interview shouting that when they were done with Hamas in Gaza they would come for Russia too.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting since then for the day when we see Merkavas and Abrams tanks roaming the Ukrainian battlefield side by side as brothers hunting Russian orcs.

I mean, I personally can’t find much difference in the policy positions or rhetoric between today’s Israel and early Nazi Germany, and given the dozens of refused hostage exchanges and predictable outcomes of Israel funding Hamas’ rise to power, I’m not sure I’d exactly disagree with him on that one.

With any luck, conflict between Israel and Russia will damage both monstrous regimes.

That’s one Israeli national acting unlawfully and being tried in a US court. I don’t think that’s representative of the Israeli government.

Israel will do what it always does and follow the advice of Aaron burr:

“Geniuses, lower your voices You keep out of trouble, and you double your choices”

They know Russia is supporting Iran and Hamas, but they also know Russia is a useful foil for US to make sure we never take them for granted.

It’s just chess, Russia isn’t a permanent enemy, and they’re always dumb enough to be manipulated usefully.
