Right! Legal consequences; arrest the guy, charge him with something!
But showing up to intimidate him and not arrest him? I don’t want my government doing that to me the next time I say something they don’t like.

It seems like a case of the government intimidating and harassing a guy (who is awful, no doubt) who seems to have done nothing illegal, based on the fact that he has not been arrested or charged with any crime.
Are we really okay with this?
I don’t like this guy, but unless the FBI shows up with a search warrant or an arrest warrant, the FBI can piss right off.
Really? Performance-wise, Firefox on Android runs great for me. No battery drain.
It is lacking in a lot of features though.
M-Disc is rated to last 1000 years.
Yeah. In a better world where the US court system doesn’t get weaponized and rulings aren’t delayed for years or decades, I would argue 8 to 15 years is the reasonable number, depending on the type of information being copyrighted.
So what if they we were at the same dinner? I’ve had dinner with my enemies too. It seems like a lot of you are imagining much greater nefarious activity than you have any real evidence for, or I am missing something?
I just want you to understand how this sounds when it’s flipped:
Yes, but then being unwilling to take any concession is not. The democrat party could, for example, pull itself off of ballots in key states or elections when the Greens agree to their policies.
It may be easier to identify this way that this is not a reasonable position, no matter which party it is about.
Really? Thank you!
pirated works 🙃
As someone who currently uses searxng and kagi, I can say that kagi gives the best results of any general internet search engine. Do I like paying money for it? Of course not. But it will keep getting mentioned as long as it keeps providing the best results.
Customer word of mouth ≠ shills.
Because Dems in power in the US have a track record of using trans rights as political bargaining chips. They have done it many times. The reality is that some democrats care about the human and civil rights of trans people, and some don’t. I don’t trust them with trans rights at all.
That said, for the convention dems probably saw the polling that shows that people are sick of hearing about trans issues, and decided to avoid it.
Oh good to know, thank you!
I’ve said it before and I will say it again: NSO group is a terrorist organization.
Yeah, currently it’s kind of a pain to donate to them. I’m pretty sure it can only be done directly through the app and it’s been a little buggy for me in the past; e.g. where the app claimed I wasn’t a monthly donor when, in fact, I am.
Good catch. It does look like that. Maybe the court already knew that Signal doesn’t have any data to hand over beyond the registration dates?
Tl;dr: Signal gave the court timestamps for three out of nine phone numbers that the court demanded data on. The timestamps were the dates three phone numbers last registered their accounts with Signal. That’s it. That is all the data there was to give.
This is why I use Signal. This is why I donate monthly to Signal.

If he did something illegal – and I am not saying he didn’t – I am 100% in favor of the FBI showing up and arresting him.
