What’s the difference between an opinion section and what you deem “speculative conspiracy theories”?

That’s wholly irrelevant. If you want to be an investigative reporter and get real facts to report, have at it and post it as news. You have not done this. You are making guesses. Guesses, by someone with no qualifications or influence, are not news.

Anything spoken / written by a political leader is news. If you were someone who influenced millions of people, your opinion would be news.

If I sat down and wrote out a blog about how I believe the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated, would that be News? I mean, I guess you would argue that it is but I am telling you, by definition, it most certainly is not.

I don’t know what makes you believe your armchair speculation is NEWS. The disconnect is so vast that my brain is breaking. I don’t understand how people on this earth have chosen to ignore the definition of words to suit their own narrative and feelings.

OP has written an article speculating how explosives could have been inserted into pagers. It’s not news, it’s speculation. Speculation is not news, it’s opinion.

Someone reporting news. OP is NOT reporting news. They are speculating. This is an opinion piece. They’re a fine writer and thinker but not a journalist and not reporting factual news.

News outlets very specifically include sections such as Opinion. They do not include speculative conspiracy theories on the front page (or anywhere) labeled as News.

How broken are you people to not understand what is news and what is speculative opinion? This is not a debate. This is a matter of facts.

Which one is it?

I’m sick of words being twisted for clicks and narrative enforcement. It’s clear, as this article has quoted him, that he’s doesn’t like what Democratic policies have done to the country and that he needs to run for president to fix them. He is not saying he doesn’t want to be president.

I’m tired of the lack of reading comprehension among grown adults across this increasingly stupid country.

The headline is clickbait and does not accurately describe the content of the article.

This could be said about the vast majority of content published online today. This is why I’ve been trying to minimize my internet usage. So little of it is genuine.

I don’t know about her involvement with this but there’s a snopes article about it. It’s wholly unfounded based on some random Facebook post.

A social media post originally from a Springfield Facebook group went viral nationally in recent days. The original poster did not cite first-hand knowledge of an incident. Instead they claimed that their neighbor’s daughter’s friend had lost her cat and found it hanging from a branch at a Haitian neighbor’s home being carved up to be eaten.

I don’t know if people so much disagree about it as much as some people just don’t want any (brown) immigrants at all. Mostly, this is because of the propaganda and hate mongering spewed by right wing media and political leaders causing people to be fearful of immigrants taking their jobs, raping them, and [sighs] eating their pets.

The issue is that this country is so racist and xenophobic that it’s entirely ignoring real solutions. Immigration reform requires greater investment in border patrol and courts as well as helping other countries reduce the problems causing people to seek asylum. It’s not just the southern border that needs help. I know people from European countries and Canada emigrating to the US who have waited staggeringly long times to become US citizens. The whole system needs help.

We could be doing good. We could be embracing the most American thing ever and welcoming and helping people to be their best selves. We need to overcome our stereotypical beliefs and get to know each other as human beings without borders dividing us.

I don’t know who you are. I clicked on this post to read about the context of the story. Instead, the first thing I read is some annoying cry baby monologue about you, as if you matter.

You are doing exactly the opposite of cutting through nonsense and saving me time.

So what if you have an agenda? Everyone posting something has a perspective or reason why they’re posting it. If you continue to get downvoted or your posts are removed, perhaps this isn’t the sub for you to post this content. Otherwise, just let people read the story without adding your own commentary about yourself. If you want to add context to the story, do it about the story, not you or your post history.
