“Hold your nose and vote for this trash and then we could make get someone decent/progressive next time.”
And then watch what happens when somebody like Sanders almost gets nominated.

Where are the donations?
What convinced you that the Green Party is a laughingstock and that Stein is responsible?
Or the fact that with her campaign only surviving with the help of GOP operatives and Russian propaganda campaigns, she’s actually making it harder to take third party candidates seriously at any level of government?
Which GOP donors and Russian operatives are you referring to? Donations are a matter of public record. Which ones are from the GOP and Russia?
It’s because she’s strong on issues that Harris is weak on…especially the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Stein agrees with the majority of the Democrats: we should quit funding the genocide. Harris wants to continue funding it.
If Harris wants to win over Stein voters, this is definitely not the way to do it.
Could be amazing, could be horrible. Just like anything on hallucinogens.
No one gives a shit about the political opinions of pop stars.
She gave people a custom link to go to vote.gov, and within 24 hours over 400,000 people hit it. In comparison, in the week leading up to the debate, vote.gov was only getting 30,000 visitors a day. That is, she boosted their traffic by more than 1300%.
Immor-tangelo.
How can you leave when they’re in your country?
They’re afraid of the repercussions.
war crime-rs
I think the term is “criminals”.
Yeah, they thought they were going to storm the Capitol without consequences, too…
You can always adopt.
Bernie was popular with people who didn’t normally vote, and he was the opposite of that. Bernie was all policy. The problem is that the Democrats’ big donors don’t like those policies.
Surely if I beat this straw man hard enough, I will win the argument!
There won’t be any compromise. The Republicans will just block everything as much as they can like they did with Obama.
What you need to do is use the bully pulpit and get the populace on your side so that Congress is afraid to oppose you (unless they want to risk losing their seats).
It makes more sense to adopt policies that are broadly popular than it is to play to “centrists”. (Whoever those are. I’ve met very few people who don’t want healthcare, are against jobs, etc. And the ones I have met are already firmly in the Trump camp, and there’s nothing Harris could do to change that.)
It’s a strange sort of cynicism. I think the logic is that you know what you’re getting with Trump whereas Harris is still an unknown quantity. People like certainty, even if it’s certain doom, I guess.
Bernie backed Hillary and Biden, too.
They’re quoting people from the DNC in the article. Did you even read it?
